Cosplay Spotlight: Prince Izumi

Presenting…, Prince Izumi for this week’s COSPLAY SPOTLIGHT!!!!!

Why do you cosplay?

I cosplay just about anything that catches my eye but its mostly Video Game characters since I am a HUGE Gamer gal.

What was your first cosplay?

Mana from Malice Mizar, nothing flattering at all i can surely tell you that hahahaha

Do you make your own cosplay costumes, if so, which ones, and how long does an average costume take to make?

Yes I do make my own cosplays there have been times I bought parts pre-made for a cosplay and it really depends on what cosplay I am working on to determine the time it takes me. Right as we speak I am doing a Tali from Mass effect and the boots alone has taken me about 3 hours already. so certain outfits do take longer then others.

What is your favorite character to play?

That’s really hard but right now I would have to say Juliet Starling from Lollipop Chainsaw, she is a lot like me happy, hyper, and just all around dorky. I freak-en love her plus her outfit is so much fun to wear.

Amongst animation, comics, movies, or video games, what is your biggest inspiration for cosplay?

Its mostly Video Games, but to me I always love being in cosplay. It always make me feel like a Strong confident person, and I feel like I can do just about anything when I do this. Even though its just a hobby I feel its more then that to me as well..

Have you ever made any mistakes that you’d warn a first timer about?

Oh yes plenty. I made a Berserk-er Yuna back in 2010 and would love to redo her.

Are there certain characters that are easier to play than others?

OH yes totally. some cosplays I’ve done in the past are indeed way easier. for example my Resident Evil Ada wong was so much easier to make then my Rachel Alucard which may I add was 4 layers.
