God of War: Ragnarok could be cross-gen, says original director

Awww, Gamers and Gamettes, I just found some interesting news for us. Original God of War director David Jaffe suggests that the next entry in the series, unofficially titled God of War: Ragnarok, could be a cross gen title. In a short clip, he states that he is sure that Ragnarok will be coming the PlayStation 4 and 5. The idea is not out of the question even though Sony has decided to shutdown production of the PS4 Slim and PS4 Pro to increase production of the PS5 while continuing to manufacture the standard PS4. Also, releasing the next God of War game will ensure those fans who loved the 2018 reboot on PS4 will be able to do so without having to by a new system. (Lord knows they’ll get it anyway)

While neither Santa Monica Studios, Sony, nor current God of War director Cory Barlog have confirmed whether the next God of War game will be cross-gen, it is nice to hear that the man who started it all has faith.

What are your thoughts on God of War: Ragnarok being released as a cross-gen title?

Until next time, this is DevilDriver1313 and I’ll see you “On the NXT LVL!”
