According to Hollywood Reporter, Benedict Cumberbatch will be reprising his role as Doctor Strange for the third Spider-Man film, thus keeping the wall-crawler grounded in the MCU. He serves as a mentor to Tom Holland’s Peter Parker in light of the death of Tony Stark in “Endgame.” This comes on the heels of an earlier report that Jamie Foxx will be returning to his role as Electro. He previously played the electrified villain opposite of Andrew Garfield’s Peter Parker in 2014’s “The Amazing Spider-Man 2.” Director Jon Watts, who helmed “Spider-Man: Homecoming” and “Spider-Man: Far From Home,” will be returning to direct the third MCU Spider-Man film. Production is expected to begin in October.
