Disney casts newcomer in upcoming “Ms. Marvel” series!!

Disney+ and Marvel Studios are laying the foundations that will expand the MCU beyond the big screen. WandaVision, the first of several MCU series planned for Disney+, is set to premiere later this year. Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Loki are waiting in the wings for their 2021 releases, and Samuel L. Jackson is set to reprise his iconic Nick Fury for a role that will follow the S.H.I.E.L.D. director’s exploits. Recently, Marvel Studios has been focusing on bringing the Ms. Marvel character into the spotlight and has revealed the actress who will portray her. Newcomer Iman Vellani will take on the role as the shape-shifting young Pakistani-American hero. Born in the early 2000s, Vellani is the proper age to play Kamala Khan. This will be he first onscreen role.

The series will be spearheaded by writer Bisha K. Ali. “Bad Boys for Life” duo Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, as well as Oscar winner Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy and Meera Menon have been tapped to write several episodes. It is set to premiere in 2022.
