What’s up, Gamers and Gamettes! Those cheeky monkeys at Nintendo snuck one in on us. Without so much as a tap on the shoulder, they have launched Kirby Fighters 2 on the Switch on September 23. Kirby Fighters first appeared as part of the Kirby: Triple Deluxe game released for the 3DS in 2014. The new entry comes with a host of new modes and features. Kirby Fighters 2 features single-handed mode where you try to beat the best time possible and multiplayer mode where up to four players can battle each other locally on the same Switch console, on the same network or through the Nintendo Switch Online with customizable rulesets. The game also features story mode where players fight alongside human or A.I. controlled companion to defeat King Dedede and Meta Knight’s challenges, collecting items along the way. Including the wrestler moveset, other classic Kirby powers are accessible including Sword, Beam, Artist, Yo-Yo and more. However, if you do not feel like playing as everyone’s favorite pink puffball, you can also choose from Meta Knight, King Dedede, Banana Waddle-Dee and a few of Kirby’s other adversaries.
