The wait is over!! The first new Haruhi Suzumiya volume will be released November 24 after 9 year hiatus!!

How many of you remember a manga series that followed God who takes the form of a Japanese highschooler in the early 2000s? Well, it’s back. After a 9 year hiatus, it was annonced that the 12th volume of Nagaru Tanigawa’s Haruhi Suzumiya light novel series will be released on November 24. The series debuted in 2003 and changed the face of the Japanese book industry. It was adapted into an anime series, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, in 2006 by Kyoto Animation.

Haruhi Suzumiya currently has 11 published volumes through Kadokawa Shoten in Japan and Little, Brown and Company and Yen Press in English. The anime adaption is currently licensed under Funimation.
