Gamers, Gamettes, get ready to assemble! The beta test for Crystal Dynamics’ Avengers game is nearly upon and here’s what you will be able to do so you get a feel for the game when it launches September 4.
If you have seen the “A-Day” trailer then you already have some clue as to what you’ll be able to do. The beta opens with the “A-Day” sequence what you control each Avenger and learn their powers and abilities, eventually facing Taskmaster in a boss battle. After the A-Day mission, the beta open up with a couple single hero missions featuring Hulk and Ms. Marvel. You travel to the Russian tundra to uncover buried S.H.I.E.L.D. secrets as Bruce and Kamala. Once you finish exploring the AIM facility, you enter a boss fight with Abomination.
The Avengers beta test will also include four player co-op missions where you can join with other players online to take part in missions in the previously announced Warzones, as well as HARM rooms and Drop Zones. Can find any players, then you can join these mission with three A.I. controlled heroes. You will also be able to level up your heroes through game progression. You can reach hero level 15 and power level 45. There is unlockable content in the beta test, alas, these do not crossover into the actual game. However, they do transfer from beta weekend to beta weekend. The heroes you’ll have access to are Iron Man, Hulk, Ms. Marvel and Black Widow.
The players get access to the beta test by preordering the Avengers game. PlayStation 4 owners will have access beginning August 7. Xbox One and PC users can have access on August 14 with their preorders. The beta will be open across all three platforms on August 21. The full game launches September 4 on PS4, XB1 and PC.
Crystal Dynamics recently revealed the first post launch hero will be Clint Barton aka Hawkeye.
