For those of us who were waiting for the reveal of the PlayStation 5 on the biggest gaming stage in North America will have to wait. Sony has made an official announcement that they will not be attending E3 2020. This marks the second year in a row that the home of PlayStation has elected to take a backseat from the event. Sony Interactive Entertainment has said in a statement to IGN they have “great respect for ESA”, however, they do not “feel the vision of E3 2020 is the right venue for what they are focused on this year.” The company’s focus is on their fans and making feel “part of the family” with greater focus on the host of new games coming to PlayStation 4 and the anticipated release of the PlayStation 5.
