Chika Anzai and Takahiro Mizushima join the cast of Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun – anime set to premiere Jan. 9

Class is in session at Kamome Academy, a high school surrounding in mystery and supernatural occurrences known as the Seven Mysteries. Cult loving first year student Nene Yashiro learned of the Seventh Mystery, Hanako-san of the Toilet, a spirit of girl who died in the bathroom years ago who will grant a wish to those who make a contribution to her. Yashiro investigates the mystery only to discover that Hanako is actually a boy. Now bound to Hanako-kun, Yashiro must help him maintain the balance between the human world and the spirit world.

The official Twitter page for the anime adaption of Toilet Bound Hanako-kun revealed that two new cast members have been added. Chika Anzai will portray Sakura Nanamine, a third year student bound to Tsukasa Yugi, the twin brother of Hanako.

Takahiro Mizushima is play Natsuhiko Hyuga.

The anime adaption of the supernatural Japanee novel written by Iro Aida is being directed by Masaomi Andō, with Yasuhiro Nakanishi handling series composition, and Mayuka Itou designing the characters. The series is being animated by Lerche. Hiroshi Takaki is composing the music. It is set to premiere on January 9, 2020 on TBS, SUN, CBC, and BS-TBS. Chibaku Shōnen Band will perform the series’ opening theme song “No.7”, while Akari Kitō will perform the series’ ending theme song “Tiny Light.” The series is listed for 12 episodes. Funimation has licensed the series for a simuldub.
