NEW Yu-Gi-Oh anime coming in 2020!!

The Yu-Gi-Oh anime series has been running strong for twenty years with the original series, Yu-Gi-Oh!, debuting in 2000. Konami announced at the Jump Victory Carnival 2019 event that a brand new series will premiere in 2020 to commemorate the 20th Anniversary of Yu-Gi-Oh. The franchise has inspired six anime series – Yu-Gi-Oh GX, Yu-Gi-Oh 5D’s, Yu-Gi-Oh Zexal, Yu-Gi-Oh Arc-V and Yu-Gi-Oh V-Rains. The latter of which is still ongoing. The original (and most beloved) series Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters, or simply Yu-Gi-Oh outside of Japan, premiered on Tokyo TV in April 2000 and concluded September 2004 after 224 episodes.

The video below recaps the six previous series and reveals the seventh anime series set to premiere in 2020. However, the video does not show footage of the new series, simply teasing that “the history of Yu-Gi-Oh series will change.” The video begins at 36:15 and ends at 37:30.
