First look at Stephen King’s Pet Sematary!!

PET SEMATARY, from Paramount Pictures.

In 2017, Stephen King’s “IT” was remade for a new generation of horror fans and it was terrifying, with a sequel already in the works. The King library is being probed again to bring back another classic novel from the “Master Horror Writer” to the big screen. Pet Sematary tells the story of the Creed family who move from the big city to the country and discover that they are near a pet cemetery that has been made on an ancient burial ground. After their son is killed in an auto accident, Louis Creed takes the boy’s body and buries him in the cemetery which resurrects him in a demonic form.

The film stars Jason Clarke (Brotherhood, Zero Dark Thirty) as Louis Creed, Ami Seimetz (AMC’s The Killing, HBO’s Family Tree) as Rachel Creed and legendary actor John Lithgow as Jude Crandall. Pet Sematary hits theatres April 5, 2019.

The original 1989 film based on the novel starred Dale Midkiff as Louis Creed, Denise Crosby as Rachel Creed, Blaze Berdahl as Ellie Creed, Miko Hughes as Gage Creed, and Fred Gwynne as Jud Crandall. The film has acquired a cult following in recent years, and members of the cast occasionally appear at horror conventions to discuss it.
