From the official website for “Love Live Sunshine” comes the announcement that the highly anticipated second season of the “Love Live” franchise is scheduled to premiere on Tokyo MX, Sun TV, KBS Kyoto, BS 11 and TV Aichi on October 7, then on TV Hokkaido, Shizuoka Housou (SBS), and TVQ Kyushu Housou three days later with an international simulcast set also planned. Additionally, a special program “We want to Shine” will air one week before the season premiere set for September 30.
The first season, which ran fro thirteen episodes, was a commercial success in Japan. The entire main cast and staff, along with director Kazuo Sakai, are all on board for the second season.
