Like it or not, Lionsgate films is moving forward with their live action adaption of Masashi Kishimoto’s beloved ninja manga series. The studio is looking toward Jon and Erich Hoeber to do a rewrite the script. They are known for their take on the adaptation of the Warren Ellis comic “Red”. VFX artist turned director Michael Gracey has been attached to the project since 2015. Avi Arad, the man behind the “Ghost in the Shell” movie and CEO and founder of “Marvel Studios”, is serving as producer through his company, Arad Production Banner.
