Earlier today, Nintendo finally dropped the ball on their next little big idea. The headquarters of Mario and Link revealed the Super NES mini. Now you can party like it’s 1991 with this palm sized version of the classic 16-bit console. For $80, grab a bud and enjoy classic heavy hitters like The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Earthbound, Final Fantasy III (VI), Super Mario World and the never-before-seen Star Fox 2!
Nintendo embarked on this endeavor before when they released a mini version of their classic 8-bit NES console in November 2016. Sadly, this little blast from the past’s run ended in April 2017, five months after production. This decision to end production was likely due to Nintendo being unprepared for the high demand of their product. To date, the NES mini sold 2.3 million units worldwide.
