While most teenagers worry about passing a test or getting a date for the prom, there is one teenage boy who is concerned about how spend his newfound riches. Sixteen year old Kyle “Bugha” Giersdorf has been crowned the grand prize winner of the Fortnite World Cup Championship, a title that comes with a check for $3 million.
A player for the Sentinels, Giersdorf blew pass his 99 opponents by a huge margin, seating himself in the top spot with 59 points. By comparison, runner up Psalm scored 33 points over the final six matches. The Fortnife World Cup utilized a point-scoring system that encourages players to not only aim higher in the rankings, but also take out their opponents to encourage them to play their best.
In the winner’s circle, Kyle said, “Words can’t even explain how I feel right now. I’m just so happy. Everything I’ve done, the grind, it’s all paid off. It’s just insane.”
Congratulations to Kyle for his achievement. With his earnings, he can do the one thing most teenagers his age can’t do – buy a new car without mommy and daddy’s help.
